Port of Balingoan, Jump off Point to Camiguin Island

Balingoan is a town is Port Town in Misamis Oriental and one of the jump off points to the Island Province of Camiguin.
Up early and thanks to Kuya Chris our reliable  multi-cab driver com tour guide in Camiguin. He called around 5 A.M asking if we are on our way to Balingoan Port,LOL, I thank him for that call because he just wake me up. Target No.1 -FAILED as planned, we were supposed to leave Cagayan de Oro (CDO) by 2 A.M so that we can take the ferry that leaves at 5:30 A.M. But still I have high hopes I can do my Camiguin Itinerary as planned.
Good Morning CDO, after a heavy rain a night before
Balingoan is 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours ride by bus or van from Cagayan de Oro. So since we failed in our initial planned time, we just enjoyed our complimentary breakfast at Budgetel CDO. We left CDO at 7:51 by van going to Butuan, fare is Php. 100.00.

Balingoan Port is about 200 meters from the National Highway,at the time of our trip the Port is under going construction, but the restrooms are clean. Clean restroom matters a lot especially during long road trips.
Ferry en route to Cebu

At the ferry terminal....

Bye Balingoan

View of Balingoan Port from the ferry
Ferry ride  to Camiguin at that time is Php 170.00. We left Balingoan Port at exactly 11:00 A.M
