PUNOT Flavors of Modern Iloilo

Sigang Cogmo

Seafood Karekare
Baked Scallops
Steamed Sikad

Punot is Estancia's homegrown restaurant, before it was known as the Punot of Esplanade Boardwalk in Iloilo City. It was started in the late 80's by the Arnador couple of Estancia. Got its name from the term which means fish pen in Ilonggo.
Planning this trip and listing the places where to dine for the duration of our trip, Punot is the only restaurant listed on our Estancia stop. From Roxas City, upon entering the town of Estancia, we saw Punot right away! Dinner on our first night is in Punot Restaurant.
An open restaurant with three levels is located along the National Highway. For our dinner, we had; Sigang na Cogmo, Baked Scallops, Steamed Sikad, Seafood Kare-Kare, Pork BBQ & Mango Shake. It was a filling dinner, and the Steamed Sikad really caught our Browie's taste, he almost finished the whole serving of sikad.
